Oskar & the couch
Not saying I'm into posting cat photos, but any furry guy who's gonna follow me about a mile home and eat my roommates tuna fish and steal her spot on the couch with the remote deserves his own post. Meet Oskar. His nametag says "Oscar" but it's a little more badass with a K. I set him back outside to continue his adventure this morning, but I hope he finds his way back home soon...

growed up
Congrats Jim & Jenn
2/13/10
Witnessed a two friends get married - it was my first 'big girl' wedding - I saw these kids meet and fall in love, and there they were in a traditional wedding ceremony, growing up with a couple of I Dos. Insanely happy for them.
I wish this photo were a painting - there is movement, good colors, and you get a feel for their emotions during their first dance as a Mr. & Mrs...
empty as a pocket
empty as a pocket with nothing to lose,

what did i eat last night??
You know when your friends have really vivid dreams, and they wanna tell you all about it? They remember 'every detail' and then off they go, on a tangent, on their stream of unconsciousness, and you don't understand it or care, really. Well, this is my blog post, so I'm going to unapologetically recount my dream.
I was married to a pretty handsome guy and we were chillin at home getting ready for a pot luck wih the family. Family members started arriving, they were all from his side because they all WERE him, except with dorky glasses, or weird facial hair, etc. None of them were normal, every single one was socially inept for some reason or another, which is fine. Makes things interesting. But all the dishes they brought for the pot luck were half eaten, and we ended up with only a little platter of apps. hahah.
Then I realize, I have a child. Not just any child, but a premature newborn who can run. And it repeatedly ran into the pool during the party and I repeatedly gave it mouth-to-mouth and wimpered and worried and cuddled it. I kind of treated it like a kitten.
My good friend from studying abroad was there at the party, chillin. He kept comforting me and telling me not to worry, that he sees this in premies all the time, and that they're all normal. And then he went on to say, "This is a really good thing, the way that you are reacting is really impressive, now you'll know that you'll be a good mother when you finally have a real baby!"
Hahaha.
Later on I had a dream that I convinced my roommate to give her rent check to charity a few days before it was due. And then I had to convince the charity to give the money back.

from the dimensions of being human
all ignorance toboggans into know
and trudges up to ignorance again:
but winter's not forever, even snow
melts;and if spring should spoil the game, what then?
all history's a winter sport or three:
but were it five, i'd still insist that all
history is too small for even me;
for me and you, exceedingly too small.
Swoop(shrill collective myth)into thy grave
merely to toil the scale to shrillerness
per every madge and mabel dick and dave
- tomorrow is our permanent address
and there they'll scarcely find us(if they do,
we'll move away still further:into now
